On Horror / Gory films

I really hate films which involve serial killers, ghosts, restless spirits, poltergeists and evil clowns. It just gives me the creeps whenever I watch a certain scene wherein a ghost suddenly creeps up from behind and shows its nasty face on the camera. *shudders*
Asian ghosts are really, really scary. Thus, I have not yet watched the ultimate Asian ghost flick "The Ring". According to most of the people I know who got to see this classic, it really scared the piss out of them. Knowing their innate love for this kind of movies, I believe that I will not be able to stay in the viewing room for too long.
"Shutter" was the last Asian ghost flick I watched and it really mad me cringe… especially parts with the lady ghost. I couldn't imagine myself in the protagonist's shoes as she sees images of the spirit in the photos taken by her boyfriend.
Can't we just all stick with comedy films???

I love to watch horror and gory films. When I'm into watching it, yes it gives me the creeps but afterwards, its no more. In general, I love to watch movies so that I could, more or less, assess myself in different situations. Whenever I see a certain scene, I always ask myself: "What will I do if I was there?" Somehow, watching horror films has given me less reason to panic. After all, I get to think, "this is definitely a lot better than what I saw in the movie".
Speaking of "The Ring", yes, for me, its truly the most horrifying Asian movie I've ever seen. I hate zombies, that is my greatest fear, and Sadako from that movie sure looks like she's a zombie. That's just the key element to make me very, very afraid. True enough, the movie "The Grudge" seemed much like "The Ring"'s Sadako.. they both looked like zombies to me, and so, it ranked second among the list of most horrifying movies for me.
Now, why the hell are we talking about horror films here?? Hehe, well, its because I recently watched "One Missed Call 1" and "One Missed Call 2". The second one was kinda crappy though, since they tried to mix it a whole bunch of "Sadako"-like characters along with some urban legends. Ah, well, it was still scary.
So, you see, I love watching horror and gory films. So, Deyey, just go ahead and run to your mommy. She'll know what to do with you. I'm sure playing PS or basketball would sound better than hearing me scream throughout the movie only to see me laughing afterwards. Hehehe..

Seriously Deyey…you haven’t seen Ring? Ditch the bastardized Hollywood version, watch the original Japanese (with English subtitles, of course) and you’ll see how the lack of CG and actual creepy sound effects contributed to the eerie atmosphere. Oh wait. Don’t worry, Mommy won’t let anything happen to you.
